After you install it, DECSTM keeps itself up to date.

The web version is limited

You get the full DECSTM experience in the app for Windows or Mac. In the web version:

Games open in a new browser tab instead of DECSTM's own game window.
There is no in-game overlay (Shift+Tab or the Xbox button).
You can't join friends' matches, lobbies or worlds from your friends list.
You sign in to each game separately instead of once in DECSTM.
Time played is only counted for DEATHBOX.

Opening DECSTM on a Mac

Your download has started. The first time you open DECSTM, your Mac asks you to allow it:

Open DECSTM.dmg and drag DECSTM into Applications.
Open DECSTM. When your Mac says it can't verify the developer, click Done.
Open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to DECSTM. Confirm with your password.

You only do this once. After that, DECSTM opens normally and keeps itself up to date.
